Private Canberra Drum Tutor Based Chifley / Woden. Lessons Available Throughout all of canberra and surrounding NSW districts
Knight Drums is run by Michael Knight.
He is a very well known Canberra tutor and respected private drum tutor who began teaching drums back in 1998.
Experienced in teaching all ages, any skill level, any background with or without the immediate need of owning a drum kit first.
Michael is extremely well versed and experienced at taking students though their drum exams such as ANZCA, AMEB, TRINITY, ST CECILIA drum exams/courses if requested by the student or parents.
Most students prefer a non formal approach to lessons and structure such as this which is more than okay.
Michael’s vast skill set learnt in years of teaching helps fit the right student to the right way for THEM.
Addressing technique and fundamentals at the same time making lessons fun and more of a ‘hobbywork’ than ‘homework’

Why Learn to Play Drums?
Anyone who’s ever sat behind a drum kit will tell you that drumming is lots of fun. In these days of modern and stressful living, an hour of drumming can be a great way to let off some steam.
Besides lowering both blood pressure and stress hormones, drumming can increase alpha wave activity in the brain that can calm the mind and even achieve a meditative state. Some studies have shown that drummers have increased endorphins - the hormones that cause feelings of happiness and euphoria.
So why don't you give it a try and bang some drums!
